James was originally born in Houston, TX. He resided there for 16 years before relocating to Atlanta, GA with his family. He attended Roswell High School lettering in band and Varsity Basketball through his junior year. James and his family relocated to Gwinnett County his senior year. He attended Berkmar High School, where he graduated and was a member of the 2001 State Championship Boys Basketball Team. He was blessed with the opportunity to receive an athletic basketball scholarship to University of Southern Mississippi. James played collegiately four years, graduatingwith a BA in Economics from the University of Rio Grande

After graduating in 2006, James pursued his Georgia Real Estate License and became a partner and co-founder of Pattman Realty & Associates, LLC under the tutelage of his mother, Patsy Pattman. He has been an integral part of the success Pattman Realty enjoyed over the past 9 years, including two consecutive years of one million plus in residential sales just prior to the real estate market collapse in 2008. Through maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism, Pattman Realty has been able to consistently thrive as a family-owned company throughout the years. With the advent of social media and internet technology, James is now looking to help propel Pattman Realty to the next level by using innovative marketing and customer service strategies to help create the ultimate “custom real estate transaction experience”.

James currently resides in Sandy Springs, GA as a father of two beautiful boys, 2 and 5 years old. He has been a resident and homeowner in the Sandy Springs/Roswell area for the last 8 years. As a parent of special needs child, James has been an active member with the Spina Bifida Association and has since developed a passion for empowering the youth. With a background in coaching youth basketball, James is currently working toward fulfilling his life-long dream of starting a youth basketball program. In his spare time, he is most likely enjoying family, watching a local sporting or concert event, or soaking up anything “entrepreneurial”.
